WFMW: Remembering to take medicine

I take medication at various times of the day.

Or I should say I'm SUPPOSED to take medication at various times of the day.

So this is what works for me (at least most of the time): At work, a "take medicine" reminder pops up on my computer calendar at the appointed hours. Sometimes I can't take the medicine right when the reminder goes off, so I don't "dismiss" it until the medication is down the hatch.

It's not foolproof, but it works much more often than it doesn't. :)

Also. one of our dogs has to take medicine once a day. He has a "pill minder" of his own. When Ed feeds Toby his breakfast, he also gives him his meds.

What works for you? Head over to Rocks in My Dryer and play along. I'll see you there!

there's a new service (free) called iwantsandy.com - it will send a text message to your phone with reminders. might work for this too!

That's another great suggestion. Thanks! (I'll take as many reminders as possible. One of 'em has to work eventually. :) )

I always forget to take my birth control so I've started keeping a water bottle near my bed and the pack on my pillow. I can't go to sleep without it. I like your idea too!

I use the calendar feature on my cell phone to ring an alarm 4X daily for my son's meds.

If you carry a cell, this might work for you.

Also, if you set the 'Repeat Daily' option when you enter the reminder, you won't have to re-enter these every day.

Great idea and also those in the comments! I don't take meds, but do take supplements that are supposed to be repeated throughout the day. I usually only get one dose in instead of the recommended three. I'll have to try this!
