Toby update

The cardiologist examined Toby today and did the echocardiogram.

Good news!

He is in the very, very early stages of mitral valve disease. She does not recommend any further medication or other treatment for him at this time. In 12 months, he is to have another x-ray, and an echocardiogram in 24 months.

Our vet wants us to bring him by every three months or so, so he can listen to Toby's heart. That's just to be on the safe side, because you never know how fast the disease might progress.

I'm thankful that he's doing just fine for now.

(By the way, the cats produced the required urine. Ed didn't even need to leave them at the vet's. The cats were quite relieved I'm sure -- no pun intended.)
