Rockefeller Christmas tree

The Rockefeller Christmas tree is going to be greener this year. It still uses a TON of electricity, but it's a start.

What I like about it is that it reminds people that LEDs are a good alternative to incandescents. Also, it's cool that Rockefeller has a photovoltaic array.

Some municipalities have or are considering switching to LEDs, which is expensive but so worth it environmentally.

Mammoth Cave is switching to LEDs, little by little. The park ranger who brings up the rear during tours also turns off the lights when everyone's left an area.

Seriously, Mammoth Cave Park is serious about being green.
