Ma

A year ago today, Ed's beloved Ma died. We, especially Ed, miss her terribly.

But today's anniversary was made a bit easier because we got to celebrate new life -- and new life in Christ -- when we attended the baptism of the new baby of friends of ours. This couple (and the new baby's big brother) attended our wedding last year. So did Ma, sick as she was. We didn't know if she'd be able to make the trip, but she gathered every bit of energy she had and was there with bells on.

As for today, we were grateful to spend part of the day with a family who was there the day Ma saw her baby boy become part of a new family. We think she would approve.
